Nearly five years ago, the death of your wife left you in charge of your two young wards. You tried to be the best caregiver you could, but all three of you were scarred and hurt by the sudden loss of the light in your lives.
Now your wards have become grown-up adults, and the grief you share has pushed you apart. Will you be able to overcome the barriers of your own making and help your wards rekindle the light in their hearts?
Light of my Life is a lighthearted erotic Visual Novel about love and loss, featuring a diverse cast of characters. As the head of the house, you are doing your best to provide for your loved ones at home, and navigate events at work.
This game includes chapters 1 through 7. You can continue the story in Season 2, and you can carry all your choices form Season 1 over if you want. Drop by the Patreon or SubscribeStar page, or Discord to check out development progress on season 2.
Minimum requirements:
PC/Linux/Mac: 64 bits OS, 6GB Ram or more
Android: At least 6 GB of storage to download and install (can be reused after install), and at least about 2.7+ GB of free RAM to run. Note, many older of lower spec'd devices will have trouble running this game. See release notes for version 1.0.0 for additional info and tips. See release notes for version 1.0.1 for info about exporting your choices at the end of chapter 7.

I love this game
Only thing i would add is either let the skip button work for the entire season one or give you the options to choose choices in 2 cause my new phone didn't save anything when i tabbed file so now I'm playing all over again

I loved this when I played it early last year. I couldn't remember where I got it (did you do some cross promotion with some other developer on Patreon maybe?), so I just bought it here, along with the sequel, which I haven't played yet but am looking forward to.

Absolutely love this story, it has depth and maturity while also being hot as hell and funny AF. This is truly what Adult Visual Novels should be. Not these pathetic Fap cartoons that seem like they're written by virgin junior high pervs lol.
I very much enjoyed Season 1. It definitely has its share of humor and sex, but I especially enjoyed some unusual aspects for an erotic visual novel: enough sentiment to make me cry at points and more naturalistic beauty among the female characters. I plan to purchase Season 2 as well soon.

windows defender blocks it from running. says unknown publisher. can you tell me why?
Depends on how strict you set it up, and also sometimes virus scanners just go wild. Last year it was McAffee deciding every ren'py engine based game was malware. Oh well.
You can try to go into the properties of the zipfile you downloaded, (right click on it and select "properties" from the menu), and on the first page, check the "unblock" checkbox. Then unzip again, and try it.
Oh, and make sure you're putting it on one of your actual harddrives, and not a network drive or external drive. Sometimes virus scanners will apply stricter policies on programs running from network or external drives.
Are you on a PC that has additional restrictions and policies set up above and beyond normal? Or a device that's been enrolled as a BYOD and might therefore have stricter than normal settings, or is issued by a company or government?
If you are running on an enrolled device, make sure you have permission from the administrator to play games on the device, and to run applications that are self-signed.
So about the message itself, it's not that defender saw a problem with the application, it's just saying the application isn't signed with a fancy, expensive publisher certificate (which it's not). I won't tell you to ignore your virus scanner warnings, all I'm saying is I'm running bitdefender myself and it doesn't have any issue with it.

that's really weird actually, i have seen games with way more intense stuff getting through and being listed. might have had a bad reviewer that day
Yeah their screening is wildly inconsistent. There's also this one really good trilogy of dramatic VN's with mild sex scenes & which just has references to incest where one was banned from steam apparently for that reason but the others weren't. And like you said, others with really extreme content which sailed through
Their loss. Put it on their rival Gog, just because they forced it. I already bought it on here, but Gog needs help to combat the mega corps like itch
Like KoKINGUK said it might be awesome to put it on something like GOG, they don't do the upfront fee like steam and should be alot more open. I really want to buy it but not on itch though alot of devs were snapped away on here during the purge last year, they started moving weird
