Version Ch 7 v0.7.0
- Adds chapter 7.
- Added about 10k images, bringing the grand total up to 23k2, for what that's worth.
- Reworked the gallery system. Now based on save files instead of stripped, dialogless copies of the original scene. Original versions left intact for backwards compatibility.
- Typos, continuity fixes, small bugs, and other minor changes to dialog to previous chapters.
- Now runs on ren'py 7.6.1.
- Because of this, after a load, you can't roll back to a point before the moment you saved, because of glitching images when you do.
- Ren'py 7.6.0 introduced a warning when loading a save that comes from a different computer, and asks you to confirm loading. You won't see this with saves made in the last version of LomL, but you will see this with saves made in this version.
- If you are not sure why saves made on another computer are a substantial security risk, please read this.
Known issues
Some phones seem to have trouble starting up the Android version. It doesn't seem to be related to model, make, architecture, age, or resources available on the phone, so it's likely settings or other apps, but I haven't been able to pinpoint the issue yet, and it's still under investigation.
Developer notes
Chapter 7, cripes, this was a big one. The amount of work sunk into it, the amount of content produced, the variations in dialogs based on choices from the past.
It's been a year and a half in the make, and there where times where it felt like everything came easy, and times (not many thankfully) where even the smallest thing was a struggle, and it felt like trying to wear down a mountain with a bird's beak. But looking back at it, I felt it was worth it, and I hope you do to.

All I can say is WOW! This update was everything I had hoped it would be. It was filled with humor, emotion, and plenty of action, if you know what I mean. It was certainly worth the wait. I can't wait for the next continuation.

Seems to me your download got corrupted. The archive.rpa is a huge file, perhaps diskspace issue?
I downloaded the zipfile and scanned it with my antivirus. The linux file got flagged as a virus. Perphaps a false flag, but I'm not taking any chances. This never happened in the past with the older zipfiles. Wanted to let you know, you might want to take a look at it.

Known issue, especially with McAffee, that seems to think apps writing in AppData are behaving like malware (in this case, ren'py writes its save games there). I'm convinced it's a false positive, but you should definitely make your own decisions in that regard.
Sonot much I can do about it until the virus scanners tone it down a bit. I've seen reports like this for several other ren'py games too, so it's not just LomL.
Thank you for the reply. I've loved your game and have been playing each and every release for the last couple of years (multiple times). I really wanted to dive into this one, looking forward to all the new story beats. Tried the android version, but regretably that one won't even load (it shows the game's logo and then nothing for minutes on end). Used to work and load without any problems before, but I guess the game is getting to big for my phone (or it's another problem) :( . When it rains it pours I guess. Maybe it's best to wait for the final release and see if all the issues with renpy and the virus scanners are resolved by then.
Loving the update so far. One issue though, im not sure if its because im on android, but it periodically crashes. Anyway, keep up the good work.
Yeah same issue here it keeps crashing after a certain time. I don't know whether it's because of the new renpy version or something else also opening the game it takes too long to start up.
Stability issues should be mitigated with 0.7.1, but the huge size of the game now seems to be giving android builds trouble. It's under investigation still.
So happy to see this today - I was literally thinking about the game just yesterday, so having the next instalment to play is very welcome.
I get the following error message when I try to open it (MacOS):

I went to an alternate site and my DL there worked perfectly. I am working my way through from the very beginning now.
